1 August 2025 marks a significant milestone for the Eastern Europe Territory as we begin a new chapter in leadership. Following the General’s appointments, we warmly welcome:
- Colonel Joao Paulo Ramos as Territorial Commander (TC)
- Colonel Karin Ramos as Territorial President for Women’s Ministries (TPWM) and Territorial Leader for Leader Development (TLLD)
- Lieutenant Colonel David Kotrikadze as Chief Secretary
- Lieutenant Colonel Anna Kotrikadze as Territorial Secretary for Leader Development (TSLD) and Secretary for Personnel (SfP)
We also extend a warm welcome to Ilia and Elizaveta, David and Anna’s children, as they join the Territory. Their daughter Elena remains in Finland, and we uphold her in prayer alongside the whole family.
This leadership transition coincides with the celebration of 10 years since the formation of the current Eastern Europe Territory, though the Salvation Army’s presence in this region spans much further back in history. We are grateful for all that God has done and continues to do through His Army in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, and Bulgaria.
The official Welcome of Lieut.-Colonels David and Anna Kotrikadze and the Installation of Colonels Joao Paulo and Karin Ramos will be conducted by the International Secretaries for Europe, Commissioners Cedric and Lyn Hills. The event will take place on 27 September 2025 in Chisinau, Moldova. Further details will be shared in due course.
We pray for our new territorial leaders, as well as for all those serving in vital roles across the Territory—including heads of departments at THQ and divisional leaders. May God equip and empower them in this new season of ministry.
