Moldova Division
The Salvation Army has played a pivotal role in supporting communities across Moldova since it began its ministry in 1994. Over the years, the organization has grown steadily, now operating services and ministries from 15 corps across the country. This widespread presence allows the Salvation Army to reach countless individuals and families in need, providing them with essential support and hope for a brighter future.
Among its core areas of work, the Salvation Army focuses on initiatives that foster the growth and well-being of children and youth. The Children and Youth Ministry offers safe spaces, mentorship, and educational opportunities that empower young people to overcome challenges and reach their potential. Complementing this effort, the Scout Ministry encourages teamwork, leadership, and personal development through engaging activities and community service.
Spiritual support is also a cornerstone of the Salvation Army’s mission in Moldova. The Divisional Prayer Coordinator helps to nurture the faith and resilience of both staff and beneficiaries, ensuring that prayer and spiritual guidance remain integral to the organization’s daily operations.
The Moldova Division is deeply committed to addressing pressing social issues. Through the Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT) initiative, the Salvation Army works tirelessly to raise awareness, advocate for change, and support survivors of exploitation. In addition, the Refugee Coordinator provides vital assistance to individuals and families fleeing conflict or persecution, helping them navigate the challenges of resettlement and integration.
Beyond these primary ministries, the Salvation Army in Moldova offers a variety of other services designed to meet the diverse needs of the community. Whether distributing food and clothing, offering counseling and shelter, or responding to emergencies, the organization continually adapts its programs to serve those who are most vulnerable.
Through its compassionate outreach and unwavering commitment to service, the Salvation Army continues to make a profound difference in the lives of Moldovans, building stronger communities and inspiring hope for generations to come.
