The Whole World Celebrates the International Day of Older Persons

Today, October 1st, the whole world celebrates the International Day of Older Persons. On 14 December 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons.

People of respectable age are a treasure of nations, a source of folk wisdom. Caring for the older generation is a national concern of all countries and every citizen.

Older people preserved the best national traditions for their descendants.

The Salvation Army Eastern Europe Territory carries out activities of practical support for the elderly, finds the right words .Older persons  reached respectable age by the grace of God and they are worthy of respect.

Older persons find spiritual support at the Salvation Army Corps and those who are already unable to leave their homes receive manageable support at home.
