Lieut-Colonels Joao Paulo and Karin Ramos have just been appointed to the Eastern Europe Territory as Chief Secretary and TSWM/Secretary for Personnel

Lieut-Colonels Joao Paulo (aka J.P.) and Karin Ramos have just been appointed to the Eastern Europe Territory as Chief Secretary and TSWM/Secretary for Personnel.   J.P. is originally from Portugal and Karin is from Sweden.  They bring a wealth of experience, with over 65 years of combined service.

Throughout their officership, they have undertaken various roles, including Corps appointments in Sweden & Portugal (including establishing a new congregation in the Algarve, South of Portugal), as well as divisional leadership in two divisions in the UK. Their service to the Lord saw them managing Day-Care Centres, overseeing Senior Citizens Homes, and fulfilling diverse appointments at THQ and IHQ.

Excitement and a sense of privilege accompany Karin and J.P. as they embark on their new adventure in the Eastern Europe Territory. They express gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with the passionate individuals in the five countries that make up  EET.

On a personal note, Karin and J.P. are parents to three grown children, all residing in the UK: Sara and Miriam and Alexander.

J.P. is interested in a wide range of literature and is a lifelong learner. Although he once wanted to have a career in football, the call to officership proved stronger. He finds joy in watching football, particularly when Sporting Lisbon they are victorious, and he enthusiastically embraces the latest cutting-edge technology.

As for Karin, she enjoys reading, gardening and nature walks.

They look forward to visiting the divisions and getting to know the different cultures and people.
