The Salvation Army International mission
The Salvation Army, as an international movement, is an evangelical branch of the Christian Church.
Its doctrine is based on the bible. Its ministry arises from God’s love. Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
International work
Today, the Salvation Army operates in more than 126 countries around the world. We have more than 15,000 churches where worship is performed in local languages in the context of local cultures. Social development programmes vary depending on local needs. Social work includes community programmes and programmes in various institutions, health programmes, support for the HIV-positive, emergency assistance, centres for the homeless, clubs, after-school classes and services at home. Our social work is aimed at achieving justice and improving living standards.
